Job Description

Position Summary The Physician Liaison is Premier Allergy and Asthma's primary point of contact with referring physician offices across the Columbus market. This role is responsible for building and sustaining relationships with referring practices and their staff, growing referral volume, and identifying opportunities where relationships are underperforming or at risk. The role is predominantly field-based, spending the majority of each week visiting referring offices in person, balanced with focused administrative time to track activity and referral trends, and periodic participation in networking and marketing events. Time Allocation 70% — Field visits: in-person outreach to referring practices across all locations 20% — Administrative work: CRM/Zoho updates, referral trend review, activity notes and reporting 10% — Events and networking: marketing meetings, grassroots events, and relationship-building functions Key Responsibilities Field Visits (70%) Conduct regular, in-person visits with referring practices on a consistent, defined cadence Maintain and enhance existing relationships with referring offices and their staff Identify and pursue alternative opportunities to get in front of practices beyond standard office visits Log visit notes and outcomes in the CRM the same day, so field activity is reflected accurately, and referral trend analysis stays reliable Administrative Work (20%) Review referral trends on a weekly basis Identify new referral sources coming in and flag them for follow-up Identify practices with declining referral volume and develop a plan to re-engage them Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in the CRM (Zoho), including same-day logging of visits and outreach Prepare and deliver regular updates to leadership on referral trends, field observations, and competitor or market activity Work collaboratively with PAA clinical & operational staff to address any issues/barriers with referrals, communication and referring office feedback Events and Networking (10%) Attend internal marketing meetings Attend grassroots and community events on behalf of the practice Host and coordinate relationship-building events with referral partners Core Traits and Competencies The following traits are considered essential to success in this role: Self-motivated and accountable — works independently in the field with minimal day-to-day oversight Problem solver and independent thinker — able to size up a situation with a referring office and act without waiting for direction Personable, warm, and extroverted — genuinely comfortable initiating conversation and building rapport Persistent and organized — keeps a large, moving list of relationships on track without things falling through the cracks Curious and a good listener — picks up on what referring offices need, not just what they say Polished — represents the practice professionally in every setting, from a quick office drop-in to a hosted dinner Qualifications Prior experience in physician liaison, or a similar relationship-based healthcare role preferred Comfortable with a field-heavy schedule involving significant local travel across the Columbus area Working knowledge of CRM systems and comfort with regular data entry and reporting Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience will be considered What Success Looks Like Referral volume grows across a defined portfolio of practices, measured on a consistent cadence Declining-referral practices are identified early and have an active re-engagement plan CRM data is current enough that referral trend reporting is reliable week to week Leadership has regular visibility into field activity, relationship health, and market intelligence gathered through visits and events
