Minimum Education:
Doctoral Degree Overview Seeking a licensed Psychiatrist to evaluate, diagnose, and treat consumers across all ages (adults and children) within Ohio's DODD system, providing psychiatric care, medication management, and psychotherapy/counseling. Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat consumers; prescribe medication; provide psychotherapy/counseling (e.g., psychoanalysis, behavior modification)
- Monitor and coordinate professional/paraprofessional medical, nursing, and direct care staff on psychiatric care matters
- Review consumer records for accuracy and completeness; recommend staffing/organizational improvements
- Conduct and participate in lectures/seminars in psychiatry for professional and paraprofessional staff Required Qualifications
- Certificate to practice medicine per Ohio Revised Code Section 4731.13
- Completion of an accredited psychiatry residency program (AMA, AOA, or AOBNP), or recognition as a psychiatrist by the Ohio State Medical/Osteopathic Association based on formal training + 5+ years of psychiatric practice (per
