Monday Friday (No weekends or holidays)

On-Call:
Not required Position Overview We are seeking a board-eligible or board-certified Physician in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine with primary care experience to provide full-time, on-site services in a correctional healthcare setting serving a female population. The assignment is expected to last at least six months and may be extended based on mutual agreement. This opportunity may also lead to permanent placement. Both a video interview and an on-site meeting/tour will be required. Job Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care in accordance with nationally recognized treatment standards
  • Conduct examinations and complete evaluations and reports
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests
  • Manage and prescribe medications as appropriate
  • Complete reclassifications and other required medical reviews
  • Make referrals for specialized care or treatment as needed
  • Document all care in an electronic health record (EHR) system
  • Collaborate with intra- and interdepartmental staff
  • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities and peer reviews
  • Follow all applicable policies, procedures, protocols, and correctional healthcare standards
Caseload:
Up to 2.5 patients per hour Minimum Qualifications
  • Master s Degree (or higher, as applicable to licensure)
  • Active Ohio Medical License
  • Board-eligible or Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Emergency Medicine
  • Primary care experience required
  • Healthcare provider-level BLS/CPR certification
  • DEA certification (as required for assignment)
