The facility maintains established clinical protocols and appropriate resources to support quality emergency care delivery across day and night shift coverage periods. Infrastructure is in place to accommodate locum tenens clinicians during assigned coverage periods. About the Facility Location Mount Vernon, Ohio is located approximately one hour north of Columbus in Knox County and offers a mix of outdoor recreation and cultural activity. The 250-acre Ariel Foundation Park features three lakes, nearly 5 miles of paths, and an observation tower built on the site of a former glass factory. Downtown Mount Vernon is home to independent businesses, dining, and public art, and the area also provides access to the Ohio to Erie Trail for clinicians seeking outdoor activity during time away from clinical duties. About the Clinician's Workday The Emergency Medicine Physician Associate will provide clinical coverage during day and night shifts in a 17-bed Emergency Department in Mount Vernon, Ohio, working scheduled 10 to 12-hour shifts. Clinicians will independently evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients across all age groups presenting with a variety of urgent and emergent conditions. The Physician Associate will work alongside physicians and other APPs in a collaborative coverage model supporting approximately 25,000 to 26,000 ED visits annually. No call responsibilities are associated with this assignment, and board certification and prescriptive authority are not required.
