Job Description
Mercy Health is seeking a PRN Hospitalist Physician to join our established inpatient team serving the Toledo market. This opportunity offers flexible scheduling, collaborative physician leadership, and the ability to practice high-quality, patient-centered inpatient medicine across multiple Mercy Health facilities. Position Highlights PRN Hospitalist Physician opportunity Inpatient-only practice setting Flexible PRN scheduling with 7a-7p shifts available seven days per week Primary practice location: Perrysburg Hospital Opportunities to work across multiple Mercy Health Toledo-area hospitals Collaborative team environment with physician and APC support Average patient volume: 16-18 patients per provider during daytime coverage No formal call requirement Focus on quality, safety, and patient experience Practice Details The hospitalist team provides comprehensive inpatient care including: Bedside patient assessments History & Physicals Admissions and transfers Rapid response support Initial consults Daily rounding and follow-up care Coordination with specialists and acute care teams Documentation, chart review, and care management activities Physicians work alongside a strong interdisciplinary care team in a collaborative inpatient environment committed to delivering high-quality community-centered care. Qualifications Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine MD or DO required BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications preferred/required Hospitalist or inpatient experience preferred Active Ohio license or eligibility to obtain licensure Practice Environment Established hospitalist group with physician collaboration and mentorship available Team currently includes physicians and advanced practice clinicians Supportive administrative and clinical infrastructure Opportunities to practice at: Mercy Health
