Accepts J1 (2028) & H1B Visas UPMC Blair Medical Neurology is seeking a BE/BC General Neurologist to join our Neurology practice. Caseloads will include neuromuscular disorders (approximately 30%), Alzheimer's, dementia, and migraines. At UPMC Altoona, you will matter. As a regional program we have a broad patient catchment area where you will be providing care to an underserved population. Your involvement will help guide this practice into the future. Outpatient only with some practice call. All inpatient work is done by our Neurohospitalist team. Regular schedule with some flexibility in hours UPMC Altoona hospital is an accredited Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center Clinical and Program Highlights Clinic is located 1.5 miles from UPMC Altoona, with Sleep Lab, EEG and EMG labs on-site. The location also includes medical labs, radiology, and rehabilitation services as well as many primary care and specialist offices. Close collaboration with our Neuro-intervention and Stroke teams. Robust patient population- you'll be coming into an established practice with a full panel of patients. Autonomy and decision-making while still being connected with the larger UPMC environment.
Qualifications:
Required- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neurology Eligibility for PA licensure A commitment to patient-centered care and excellent interpersonal skills are essential, as we prioritize delivering the highest quality care in a compassionate, professional environment. Reading outpatient EEGs Preferred- Experience and interest in performing electromyography (EMG). What Can UPMC Do for You?
