Interventional Cardiologist

New Castle, PA Job Summary We are seeking a Board-Certified Cardiologist with Interventional Cardiology experience to join an established and growing cardiovascular team in New Castle, Pennsylvania. This full-time opportunity offers a collaborative practice environment with access to experienced cardiologists, advanced practice providers, cardiovascular specialists, and a dedicated cardiac catheterization team. The position provides a combination of interventional cardiology, general cardiovascular care, and the opportunity for a clinical academic appointment. The practice emphasizes a sustainable workload, strong clinical support, continuity of care, and the ability for physicians to develop their practice around their professional interests. Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive interventional and general cardiology services.

Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations.

Participate in 24/7 STEMI coverage as part of the interventional cardiology team.

Perform and/or participate in procedures such as:

Cardiac catheterization and coronary interventions

Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE)

Cardioversion

Temporary and permanent pacemaker procedures

Intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) placement/management

Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with cardiovascular disease in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Collaborate with interventional and non-invasive cardiologists, electrophysiologists, heart failure specialists, vascular surgeons, cardiothoracic/thoracic surgeons, APPs, and other clinical professionals.

Provide evidence-based, patient-centered cardiovascular care.

Participate in quality improvement, clinical education, and other academic or leadership activities as appropriate.

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Support continuity of cardiovascular care across the community.

Qualifications / Requirements

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.

Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency and Cardiology fellowship.

Fellowship training in Interventional Cardiology.

Board Certification in Cardiology required.

Appropriate board certification/eligibility in Interventional Cardiology based on training and experience.

Demonstrated experience performing interventional cardiology procedures.

Pennsylvania medical license required prior to starting; candidates who still need to obtain a PA license may apply.

Eligible for hospital medical staff privileges and credentialing.

Strong clinical judgment, communication, and collaborative skills.

Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered cardiovascular care.

2026 and 2027 candidates may be considered.

J-1 and H-1B visa candidates may be considered.
