Job Description

The Director of Cardiology provides operational, strategic, and administrative leadership across cardiovascular services, including Invasive Cardiology (Cath Lab, EP Lab, Neurointerventional Lab), Non-Invasive Cardiology, Cardiac Imaging, and Cardiac Rehabilitation. Reporting to the Vice President of the Cardiovascular Service Line, this leader will oversee daily operations, staffing, quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, financial performance, and program growth across multiple departments and outpatient locations. The Director is responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, and efficient patient care while leading staff recruitment, development, performance management, scheduling, and workforce planning. This role works closely with cardiologists, vascular surgeons, medical directors, and executive leadership to advance cardiovascular service line initiatives, enhance patient access and experience, and support continued program growth. Key responsibilities include operational oversight, budget management, capital planning, regulatory compliance, quality and safety initiatives, development of policies and procedures, community outreach, and implementation of new cardiovascular programs. The Director will also monitor departmental performance metrics, prepare monthly reports, and ensure adherence to national standards, payer requirements, and accreditation guidelines. At campuses providing neurointerventional services, the role partners with Neuroscience leadership to support the delivery of comprehensive neurovascular care. Develop and Grow Your Career!
