Job Description
Role:
We are seeking Physicians specialized in Obesity Medicine to join our innovative, multidisciplinary chronic disease management team . A valid medical license to practice and prescribe legally in any US state is required, and eligibility to obtain additional state licenses as needed is required. This role is designed for an American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM) certified Physicians with demonstrated expertise in obesity medicine, family practice or internal medicine, and a strong interest in working collaboratively with Obesity Medicine Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) in providing high-quality patient care. This is a fully remote W-2 position (US-based), with flexible scheduling options: 40 hours per week, 32 total hours per week or 36 total hours per week. From the total working hours, 80% will be clinical/patient-facing care, and 20% administrative time.What you will do:
Provide direct patient care in a clinical setting, focusing on evidence-based obesity treatment and chronic weight management Review charts and conduct visits for patients to ensure quality and continuity of care Provide treatment planning and medical management support for complex cases or escalated concerns The role could involve having your own panel of patients, and/or collaborating with APPs and Registered Dietitians specializing in obesity treatment. This role could involve APP collaboration and supervision, as needed Prescribe non-controlled obesity medications for patients Ensure clinical documentation, protocols, and treatment pathways are followed consistently within the team Participate in team-based care initiatives and contribute to a culture of collaboration and high-quality care Attend relevant departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement efforts within the obesity medicine programAbout You:
Must have an MD or DO degreeRequired:
Valid and current Board Certification in Obesity Medicine by the American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM) Demonstrated clinical experience in obesity medicine and pharmacotherapy (older generation oral and newer injectable medications)Required:
Active and unrestricted Medical State License in any US State, and eligibility to obtain additional state licenses (IMLC preferred, but not required) Must have a minimum of 2 years as an attending physician, post-residency, in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine or Obesity Medicine, OR completed an accredited Fellowship program in Obesity Medicine, in lieu of years of experience Interest in mentoring, teaching, and collaborating with APPs and Registered Dietitians specializing in obesity medicine, as needed Demonstrated experience working with APPs, medical residents, or trainees in a clinical academic setting Adherence to evidence-based treatments, behavioral interventions, nutrition, and pharmacotherapy for both endocrine disorders and obesity Open to working one of the following W2 roles: 32hrs/week, 36hrs/week or 40hrs/week Must be currently opted-in with Medicare Committed to delivering patient-centered, culturally competent care Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Experience providing synchronous patient care in a telehealth setting is preferred Bilingual candidates with medical fluency in Spanish are desired, but not required Form Health's benefits: Competitive salary Comprehensive health benefits.
