Job Description

WVUHS Medical Group seeks an Orthopedic Hand Surgeon . The successful candidate will be expected to practice in the primary location of Charles Town, WV .
Duties:
The successful candidate will practice in the area of hand surgery. The Orthopedic and Sports Medicine providers of WVU Medicine offer a full range of services including diagnosis, treatment and surgery of the musculoskeletal system.
Qualifications:
Applicants must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible to obtain state medical license. Candidates must have completed an accredited Orthopedic Surgery residency as well as a Hand Surgery fellowship. Successful candidates must be board certified/eligible in Orthopedic Surgery. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment. Our Eastern Panhandle location is a little more than an hour from Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, MD. A rural atmosphere and a lower cost of living mixed with the easy accessibility to the Washington, DC/ Baltimore, MD areas make the Eastern Panhandle an ideal place to live. While Berkeley County is the fastest growing county in the state, there is little congestion and traffic. In recent years, a steady influx of urban professionals from nearby Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD have contributed to the growth of local telecommuting and high-tech industries.
