Psychiatrist Clinical Advisor / Collaborator - Flexible Part-Time North Ocean Serenity - Integrated Mental WellnessPatchogue, NY North Ocean Serenity is seeking an experienced Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist interested in a flexible clinical collaboration and advisory role. We are building an integrated mental health program closely connected with an established primary care medical group. Rather than a traditional full-time psychiatry position, we are looking for a psychiatrist who would like to collaborate with our psychiatric providers and leadership team while helping us develop a high-quality, sustainable mental health program. The Opportunity This role can be structured around the psychiatrist's availability and interests and may include: Clinical consultation with psychiatric nurse practitioners and other providers Periodic case review and clinical guidance Development of psychiatric protocols and clinical workflows Quality improvement and program development Scheduled clinical/team meetings Guidance on complex psychiatric cases Helping shape the continued development of North Ocean Serenity Optional direct patient care Optional nursing home and assisted-living psychiatric consultation We are particularly interested in psychiatrists who enjoy collaboration, mentorship, and building clinical programs. Flexible Structure This does not need to be a traditional weekly employment commitment. We are open to creating a structure that works for the right psychiatrist, including: Monthly consulting/advisory arrangement Limited scheduled hours each month Hybrid or partially remote collaboration where appropriate Additional compensation for direct patient care or facility work Opportunity for the role to expand over time if mutually desired About North Ocean Serenity North Ocean Serenity is an integrated mental wellness practice developed alongside North Ocean Medical Group. Our goal is to bridge the traditional gap between primary care and mental health and create a collaborative model where medical and psychiatric care work together. The psychiatrist joining us would have an opportunity to influence the program at an early stage without having to build the administrative infrastructure independently. Ideal Candidate M.D. or D.O. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry Active New York medical license Strong clinical judgment Collaborative and approachable Comfortable working with psychiatric NPs and an interdisciplinary team Interest in mentorship, program development, or integrated care Compensation Competitive monthly consulting retainer based on scope and time commitment. Direct clinical services, facility consultations, or additional scheduled work can be compensated separately. We are flexible and interested in designing the arrangement around the right psychiatrist. If you are an experienced psychiatrist who would enjoy helping develop an integrated mental health program but do not want the commitment of another traditional full-time position, we would welcome a conversation.
