Job Description

Description This on-site, contract position offers a rewarding opportunity to deliver high-quality healthcare services to patients across the community. As a contract physician, you will bring essential clinical expertise to our practice, ensuring continuity of care and supporting our mission to provide exceptional medical services in a patient-centered environment. As a Locum MD in Obstetrics and Gynecology, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive care, from routine gynecologic examinations to full-spectrum obstetric services. You will work alongside a collaborative team of healthcare professionals, applying your clinical knowledge and skills to improve patient outcomes and maintain the highest standards of medical practice in the industry. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care to patients of all ages Conduct routine gynecologic examinations, screenings, and diagnostic procedures Manage prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care for expectant mothers Perform gynecologic procedures, including minimally invasive surgeries when required Diagnose and treat conditions related to the female reproductive system Collaborate with nurses, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and documentation Provide emergency obstetric and gynecologic coverage as needed Counsel patients on family planning, contraception, and reproductive health Adhere to all healthcare regulations, safety protocols, and professional standards Requirements Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution Board certification or active candidacy in Obstetrics and Gynecology Valid medical license in good standing Experience in obstetric and gynecologic care at an associate level Strong clinical skills in diagnosing and treating reproductive health conditions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, on-site medical environment Current BLS and ACLS certifications Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call rotations and weekends as required Malpractice insurance coverage or ability to obtain it
Schedule:
24-hour call
Setting:
Inpatient Daily Volume:
1-3 patients rounded on, 1-3 deliveries, 2-4 NST/observations 4 LDR beds
Patient Population:
15-70 Must be comfortable with vaginal deliveries, as well as cesarean deliveries Circumcisions not required
EMR:
Epic Must be comfortable working independently Board-certification required
Additional Certifications:
DEA and CSR Paid travel & expenses
