About this role:

As a General Surgeon, you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. In this role, you will provide acute care surgical services at Platte Valley Hospital on an as-needed basis. Typical procedures include appendectomies, cholecystectomies, and other general surgery cases. Weekend call coverage runs from Friday morning through Monday morning, with a minimum commitment of one weekend per month. During coverage, you'll round on 4-10 patients, perform an average of 3-4 surgeries, and participate in trauma handoff and patient management. There is also an option to hold a PRN clinic on Friday mornings for follow-up visits. You'll join a collaborative team of three experienced surgeons and one advanced practice provider in a supportive environment that values teamwork and patient-centered care. We're seeking a surgeon who is comfortable working independently, preferably with trauma experience.
