Responsibilities Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients of all ages, including children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing psychopharmacology, psychotherapy (including cognitive behavioral therapy and psychodynamic therapy), and other evidence-based interventions. Manage medication regimens while monitoring for efficacy and side effects in accordance with HIPAA regulations and medical standards. Provide crisis management and intervention for patients experiencing acute psychiatric episodes or emergencies. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including psychologists, social workers, nurses, and primary care providers—to coordinate comprehensive patient care. Maintain accurate medical documentation within Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems while ensuring compliance with health regulation policies. Participate in clinical research or data collection efforts to enhance treatment protocols and contribute to the advancement of behavioral health practices. Qualifications Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry. Post-residency experience working with adult populations, children, or geriatrics is highly preferred. Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, PTSD care, addiction counseling, or crisis management is advantageous. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare diagnosis procedures, and psychiatric evaluation techniques. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote patient assessment tools is desirable. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and health regulation policies to ensure patient privacy and data security. Demonstrated ability to perform outpatient and inpatient psychiatric patient care effectively across diverse settings. Excellent communication skills for patient consultation-liaison psychiatry and multidisciplinary collaboration.
