Neurologist (Contract) - ANY State Medical License
Job Description
Si2 Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Neurologist to provide comprehensive general neurology services at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center in Mountain Home, Tennessee . This is an onsite opportunity caring for our nation's Veterans in a collaborative VA healthcare environment. The position includes outpatient neurology as well as inpatient and Emergency Department consultation coverage. Schedule & Call Regular clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM . The neurologist will also participate in rotating weeknight and weekend call coverage. During call, physicians must be available by telephone within 15 minutes and able to report onsite within 60 minutes when needed. Responsibilities Provide general outpatient neurology care Perform inpatient bedside consultations Provide Emergency Department neurology consultation and coverage Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage neurological conditions Review and complete neurology consults Provide medication management and patient/family education Communicate test results and treatment recommendations Complete timely VA electronic medical record documentation Coordinate care with VA and community providers Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement Supervise and teach residents and other healthcare trainees Qualifications MD or DO degree Completed Neurology residency/training Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology Current, full, unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state, territory, commonwealth, or Washington, D.C. Current DEA registration and NPI Current BLS and ACLS or accepted equivalent Ability to obtain VA credentialing and clinical privileges Ability to successfully complete required federal background/suitability requirements Si2 HEALTHCARE is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business specializing in staffing highly skilled clinicians to serve our nation's veteran populations at government facilities across the United States.
