Pain Management Specialist (Anesthesiology or PM&R Pain Management) Murfreesboro VA |
Tennessee Valley Healthcare System Salary:
$330,000-$370,000 per year
Schedule:
Monday-Friday (hours based on service needs)
Key Duties Include:
Apply advanced knowledge of pathophysiology, neurochemical, and psychological aspects of pain management. Evaluate Veterans with chronic pain, including targeted history and physical examination, and interpretation of radiological studies. Proficiently perform diagnostic and therapeutic invasive procedures, such as: Radiofrequency techniques Spinal cord stimulator implantation Caudal and epidural blocks Lumbar sympathetic blocks Upper and lower plexus blocks Manage spinal opioids and implant intrathecal pumps for chronic pain control. Communicate effectively (oral and written) with interdisciplinary professional staff and management. Provide educational support to Pain Clinic staff, Primary Care Providers, and other physicians regarding pain management. Assist with Pain Clinic schedules and the development of clinic policies and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications:
Completion of an Anesthesiology or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) residency Completion of a fellowship in Pain Management Board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology or the American Board of PM&R Why Choose VA?
