Responsibilities Conduct thorough medical assessments, including physical examinations and patient history reviews, to diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditions. Develop personalized care plans that incorporate preventive measures, health education, and lifestyle modifications to optimize patient outcomes. Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems to document clinical encounters accurately, order diagnostic tests such as medical imaging, and monitor patient progress over time. Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals across specialties—including cardiology, endocrinology, dermatology, pulmonology, and others—to coordinate comprehensive treatment strategies. Perform procedures common in family medicine practice, such as suturing, wound care, immunizations, and basic life support interventions. Educate patients on health maintenance, disease prevention, medication management, and lifestyle choices to empower informed decision-making. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain meticulous medical records to uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and quality assurance. Skills Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as E-Clinicals or similar platforms for efficient documentation and patient management. Strong knowledge of healthcare diagnosis techniques across multiple specialties including internal medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics/gynecology (Ob/Gyn), psychiatry, and emergency medicine. Experience interpreting diagnostic radiology images and utilizing medical imaging tools for accurate diagnosis. Ability to perform clinical procedures like suturing, IV infusion, airway management, and basic surgical techniques within a family medicine setting. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals—such as radiologists, pathologists, anesthesiologists—and provide clear patient education. Familiarity with hospital-based inpatient experience and outpatient clinic operations to deliver seamless continuity of care. Knowledge of medical coding (CPT/ICD) for accurate billing and documentation purposes.
