Chief Medical Officer (CMO) About This Opportunity Lone Star Family Health Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) Physician to join our dedicated healthcare team. In this role, you'll make a meaningful difference in the lives of women and families by providing comprehensive reproductive health care, managing pregnancies, and treating gynecological conditions. You'll work in both outpatient and inpatient settings, partnering directly with patients to deliver personalized, evidence-based medical care while promoting healthy choices and preventive wellness. Key Responsibilities Obtain comprehensive medical histories and perform thorough physical examinations, documenting findings accurately Diagnose and manage acute and chronic reproductive health conditions, collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams Provide comprehensive prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care to pregnant patients Order and interpret appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures Review and act on lab results and diagnostic findings in a timely manner, making sound clinical decisions Administer medications, injections, and perform minor surgical procedures including suturing Educate patients on reproductive health, pregnancy care, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle choices Maintain accurate and complete patient records in compliance with all regulatory requirements Respond to patient telephone consultations and triage urgent concerns appropriately Manage medical and surgical emergencies with skill and composure Ensure continuity of care and appropriate follow-up monitoring between patient visits Recommend community resources and support services to meet patient and family needs Required Qualifications Medical Degree (M.D. or D.O.) from an accredited institution Current Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology Valid, unrestricted medical license from the Texas Medical Board Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration American Heart Association certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and general computer skills Preferred Qualifications Experience working in community health center or underserved population settings Bilingual capabilities (Spanish preferred) Experience with diverse patient populations and culturally sensitive care Interest in teaching and mentoring medical students or residents Compensation and Benefits We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your professional and personal well-being: Competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications Four weeks of paid time off (PTO) annually Malpractice insurance coverage Employer contributions toward medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance 401(k) retirement plan with 3% employer match Continuing Medical Education (CME) allowance and dedicated CME days Professional development opportunities About Lone Star Family Health Center Lone Star Family Health Center is committed to providing accessible, high-quality healthcare to our community.
