ABOUT ANIMAL OPHTHALMOLOGY CLINIC
Animal Ophthalmology Clinic (AOC) is one of the most established and highly regarded veterinary ophthalmology practices in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. For many years, AOC has been the trusted specialty eye care partner for primary care veterinarians and pet owners across the metroplex, earning an outstanding 4.9-star Google rating — a testament to the exceptional care and client experience our team delivers every day. Our team currently consists of two board-certified veterinary ophthalmologists practicing across two DFW locations. We are now looking for a third ophthalmologist to join our collegial, high-caliber team and help us continue building on a legacy of specialty excellence in ophthalmic medicine and surgery.
THE ROLE
As a full-time ophthalmologist at the AOC Grapevine location, you will join a supportive, highly skilled team in a well-resourced specialty environment. You will have access to advanced diagnostic and surgical equipment and the clinical bandwidth to focus on what you do best: delivering exceptional specialized eye care.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and manage a wide range of complex ocular diseases across species, from routine to emergent presentations Perform advanced ophthalmic surgeries utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and techniques Manage critical ocular emergencies in a dedicated specialty setting Collaborate with and serve as a resource for referring primary care veterinarians throughout the DFW metroplex Partner with breeders on hereditary ocular disease screening and elimination programs Contribute to a culture of clinical excellence, continuous learning, and compassionate patient care
IDEAL CANDIDATE
We are seeking a motivated, compassionate ophthalmologist who thrives in a collaborative specialty environment and shares our unwavering commitment to clinical excellence.
Required Qualifications:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution Board certification or board eligible upon completion of an ACVO approved residency in veterinary ophthalmology Active Texas veterinary licensure, or ability and willingness to obtain Texas licensure prior to start
