Job Description

Position Overview The Physician Liaison is responsible for building and maintaining strong connections between Sunglo and the medical community, including physicians, clinics, and healthcare partners. This position supports our continuum of care—home health, hospice, palliative care, nursing, therapy, and provider services. The Liaison will promote Sunglo's services, educate providers, and ensure patients are connected to the care they need in the home setting. Duties and Responsibilities Serve as liaison between the agency and the medical community. Develop and maintain referral relationships with primary and specialty providers. Conduct presentations to physicians, physician staff, healthcare providers, and community groups regarding Sunglo's programs and services. Identify and analyze provider needs and make recommendations to support growth and care goals. Organize and lead educational presentations on home care benefits and eligibility under Medicare/Medicaid. Participate in Sunglo-sponsored clinics, seminars, and conferences to promote awareness of home care services. Support smooth transitions for Sunglo patients from hospitals, nursing homes, adult day centers, and other facilities into home-based care. Represent Sunglo at all times with professionalism, integrity, and loyalty. Physical and Mental Effort Full-time, 40 hours/week in a fast-paced, high-stress environment. Requires frequent driving, walking, and travel between provider offices/facilities. Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. and stand or walk for 5-7 hours daily. Requires adaptability, high energy, and the ability to self-direct while working as part of a cross-functional team. Must be knowledgeable of Medicare/Medicaid eligibility and home health regulatory requirements. Requires polished presentation and interpersonal skills, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Must uphold strict confidentiality, demonstrate good moral character, and maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times.
Qualifications Education:
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or Communications preferred.
Experience:
Minimum 1 year in home health, hospice, or palliative care required. Highly qualified applicants with 5+ years of relevant experience may be eligible for higher pay. 1 year each in sales or marketing preferred.
Other Requirements:
Current TX DPS Driver's License and clean driving record required for Vehicle assignment. Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish). Excellent public relations and communication skills (oral and written). Knowledge of legal governance including AKS, Stark Law, and Anti-Solicitation required.
