We are hiring a Psychiatrist for one of our clients in Kerrville, TX .
Job Description:
The applicant must be a Licensed Physician in the State of Texas. Provide direct patient care, psychiatric assessments and treatment, face-to-face evaluations, and respond to all emergency calls and restraints. Work with dually diagnosed adult patients, mental health, in a residential section, not outpatient clinic. Abide with agency attendance and leave policy and abide by the rules, regulations, and policies of HHSC and Facility and perform other duties as assigned. Will complete assigned duties in accordance with the duties assigned to permanent Physicians of the Facility. Physician ~ Active Texas Medical License from Texas Medical Board with no sanctions Active US Dept of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Certification Must be credentialed with hospitals utilized by the Facility. American Heart Association ~ approved course in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and maintain that certification while providing services at the Facility. Psychiatrist, at least 25% on site, pending leadership approval. On campus preferred. Inpatient forensic psychiatric hospital setting caring for the Texas NGRI population. Lead multidisciplinary team. 24 patient average caseload. Average 1-2 admissions and discharges per month. Physician court paperwork responsibility and associated testimony. QI project involvement, to include quarterly Quality System Overview QSO chart reviews. Medical staff meetings and opportunities to collaborate with staff nurse practitioners. (All certifications must be current and remain as such while providing services at the Facility) Work hours: 40 hours of work per week Monday—Friday; 8:00 AM—5:00 PM Immediate start; 6 months with option to extend. #
BIOHC Pay:
$128.00 - $130.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
