Job Description

Texas Associates of Endocrinology & Diabetes is an established, physician-owned endocrinology practice seeking a motivated and clinically strong Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our team three full days per week. We are looking for someone who is sharp, efficient, dependable, and proactive , with strong clinical judgment and the ability to thrive in a busy private-practice environment. The ideal candidate learns quickly, takes initiative, manages time effectively, and is comfortable developing increasing clinical independence with physician support available when needed. The provider will care for adult patients with diabetes, thyroid disorders, osteoporosis, obesity, hypogonadism/testosterone therapy, calcium/parathyroid disorders, and other endocrine conditions. Patient volume and clinical complexity will increase gradually during training, with an eventual expectation of approximately 18-20 patients per full clinic day . Qualifications Active Texas PA or NP license Current DEA registration Board certification Prior clinical experience preferred Experience in a busy, high-volume outpatient setting strongly preferred Endocrinology experience preferred but not required Strong clinical judgment and critical-thinking skills Excellent organization and time-management skills Self-motivated, dependable, and receptive to feedback Comfortable working independently while recognizing when physician collaboration is appropriate eClinicalWorks experience is a plus We welcome experienced APPs as well as strong candidates without prior endocrinology experience who demonstrate excellent clinical fundamentals and a genuine interest in learning endocrinology.
Pay:
From $65.00 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 - 27.0 per week

Do you currently have an active DEA registration, or are you eligible to obtain one before your start date? What was the typical number of patients you personally managed during a full clinic day in your most recent outpatient position? Do you have previous endocrinology experience? If yes, briefly describe the conditions and types of patients you routinely managed. This position requires three full clinic days per week and will gradually progress to approximately 18-20 patients per full day. Are you comfortable with this schedule and expected patient volume once fully trained? In a busy clinic, you notice an abnormal laboratory result that was not specifically brought to your attention and may require additional evaluation. What would you typically do?
