Works to meet the medical needs of communities that are less well served by hospitals.
Equity Ownership Practice Medicine Differently TrendHR is partnering with a thriving, physician-owned Direct Primary Care practice in Rockwall, Texas, to identify a Family Medicine Physician who is ready for a different way to practice medicine. The practice was built by a physician/owner who left traditional corporate medicine to create a patient-centered model focused on protecting the physician-patient relationship, reducing administrative burden, and giving physicians greater autonomy. The opportunity is designed for a physician who wants the freedom and earning potential of building a personalized patient panel without taking on the full startup costs, overhead, staffing, systems, and operational risk of opening a practice alone. The Direct Primary Care Model Patients participate through a monthly membership rather than traditional insurance billing for routine primary care. The practice provides outpatient primary care to patients of all ages and does not provide obstetric care. A manageable panel of approximately 500 patients at capacity allows physicians to build meaningful long-term relationships while maintaining a more sustainable approach to medicine. Compensation & Growth Guaranteed base salary of $6,250 per month while building a patient panel until 160 patients is reached. After reaching at least 160 patients, compensation transitions to 60% of monthly membership revenue generated by assigned patients. Estimated annual physician earnings are approximately $234,000 at a 500-patient panel. During the early ramp-up period, physicians have the freedom to supplement income through outside urgent care or telemedicine work. The practice covers the operational overhead, while deductions are limited to physician-specific startup and licensing costs. The practice also pays employment taxes. Physicians who successfully build their practice, align with the organization long term, and contribute to its growth may have the opportunity to purchase equity in the practice. What You'll Do Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care to patients of all ages, including preventive care and management of acute and chronic conditions. Build and maintain a personalized patient panel and develop long-term relationships with patients and families. Communicate directly with patients through office visits and appropriate direct-access channels. Collaborate with the physician/owner and clinical team while contributing to the continued growth of the practice. Help preserve a patient-centered, community-focused culture with a strong commitment to the physician-patient relationship. Who We're Looking For Family Medicine Physician comfortable caring for patients across the lifespan. Physician who values autonomy, meaningful patient relationships, and a manageable panel size. Entrepreneurial mindset and interest in building a practice without starting completely from scratch. Interest in a sustainable long-term career model where income can grow alongside the patient panel. Potential interest in future leadership and equity ownership as the practice continues to grow. Why This Opportunity Stands Out This is more than a traditional employed physician role. It offers a protected transition into Direct Primary Care, an established practice infrastructure, a natural flow of new patients, flexibility to supplement income while ramping up, significant long-term earning potential, and a possible pathway to practice ownership. If you love being a physician but want a different relationship with medicine, this opportunity deserves a conversation.
