Carrus Behavioral Hospital is a 28-bed hospital built in 2020and specializes in comprehensive psychiatric care for pediatrics and adolescent specializing in facing mental health challenges. The hospital offers a range of services, including inpatient, Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) to address the specialized needs of the kids. We are currently seeking aMedical Director to round on the patients and lead the clinical team. Full-Time, Inpatient Child & Adolescent Psychiatristto support patients receiving psychiatric care.
About the role:
The Inpatient Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist will be responsible for leading the team and care for the kids through diagnosis and treatment of mental illnesses and medication management at the either or inpatient, PHP or IOP level of care.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility inpatient, PHP or IOP. Lead IDT and patient care team to provide care and treatment to patients. Communication and peer to peer with managed care companies as required. Communication with parents or guardians per policy and as needed. Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures. Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations. Evaluate patients for mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders. Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications. Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner. Maintain confidential documentation, compliance, and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures.
Qualifications:
Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required. One or more years' post graduate degree practice preferred.
Licenses/Certifications:
Board certification or Board Eligibility in child and adolescent Psychiatry required. Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working. Current license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
