This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a high-acuity setting with strong specialty support, modern technology, and a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
Position Highlights Setting:
Level II Trauma Center High-acuity Emergency Department Collaborative physician-led team with comprehensive specialty backup Facility Highlights Approximately 50,000 annual Emergency Department visits 36-bed
Emergency Department Dedicated Adult and Pediatric Emergency Departments Accredited Cycle III Chest Pain Center Level II Trauma Center EMR:
Meditech Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with a broad spectrum of emergency medical conditions Manage high-acuity medical and traumatic emergencies Perform emergency procedures within the scope of Emergency Medicine practice Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic evaluations Stabilize critically ill and injured patients Collaborate with specialists, nursing staff, and ancillary teams to deliver timely, evidence-based patient care Accurately document patient encounters using Meditech Qualifications Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM) Active Texas medical license or ability to obtain licensure Current DEA registration ACLS, ATLS, PALS, and BLS certifications, as required #AAS
