Ongoing Contract Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide specialty medical care in Urology. The provider will deliver comprehensive patient care within the scope of training, clinical experience, and granted privileges. Responsibilities include patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, diagnostic testing, preventive care, patient education, and collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner services in specialty medical care within the provider's scope of practice and clinical privileges. Evaluate and manage patients with routine, acute, and chronic medical conditions. Perform comprehensive patient examinations and assessments. Develop differential diagnoses and determine appropriate diagnostic and treatment plans. Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests and laboratory studies. Interpret examination findings and test results and implement appropriate treatment plans. Diagnose and treat diseases, disorders, and injuries within the provider's scope of practice. Recognize emergency medical conditions and initiate appropriate interventions or referrals. Refer complex cases and serious medical conditions to physicians or other qualified healthcare professionals as appropriate. Perform designated diagnostic and therapeutic procedures consistent with scope of practice. Prescribe medications, treatments, and immunizations in accordance with approved protocols and applicable guidelines. Respond to patient telephone consultations and coordinate follow-up care with clinic staff. Provide preventive care and health-maintenance services. Educate patients and family members regarding treatment plans, healthy lifestyle practices, self-care, and wellness. Promote positive health behaviors and patient responsibility for maintaining wellness. Establish effective working relationships with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Participate in staff meetings, case discussions, continuing education, and quality improvement activities. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with applicable healthcare standards, policies, and procedures. Required Qualifications Master's degree in Nursing or applicable advanced practice nursing field. Graduate of an accredited nursing program within the relevant specialty field. Nursing program must be accredited by a recognized nursing accrediting organization, such as: Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). Current, full, active, and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Must meet applicable clinical competency and credentialing requirements. Minimum 24 months of Urology experience within the last 36 months. Previous hospital-based clinical experience is required.
