Job Title:
Psychiatrist Schedule:
Day Shift Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm Coverage possible on weekends and holidays
Job Summary:
We are looking for dedicated Psychiatrists in Hampton, Virginia with excellent communication skills, critical thinking skills, and team player attitude. This provider will be responsible for caring for patients, communicating with other medical team members and maintaining accurate medical records.
Duties:
Provide comprehensive psychiatric care to inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department patients, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment. Conduct psychiatric assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and manage medications and ongoing patient care. Provide inpatient services including admissions, daily patient evaluations, treatment management, discharge planning, and follow-up care. Perform suicide risk assessments, crisis interventions, and psychiatric consultations for patients experiencing acute mental health concerns. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams and provide clinical oversight and guidance to residents, interns, medical students, and advanced practice providers. Complete accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record, including assessments, treatment plans, prescriptions, and diagnostic orders.
