$425/hr Position Overview Selected physicians will provide on-site anesthesiology services to beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs. Physicians must maintain all required licenses, certifications, continuing medical education, credentials, and clinical privileges throughout the assignment. This is an excellent opportunity for anesthesiologists interested in a long-term federal healthcare assignment supporting our nation's veterans . Interested and qualified physicians are encouraged to submit an updated CV for immediate consideration. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive pre-anesthesia evaluations and assessments of patients scheduled for surgical and procedural care. Develop appropriate anesthesia plans based on the patient's medical condition, procedure, and clinical requirements. Administer and manage general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care , as clinically appropriate. Monitor patients continuously throughout anesthesia and surgical procedures. Manage the patient's airway, ventilation, cardiovascular status, and other vital physiological functions during procedures. Qualifications MD or DO Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology through the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) Current, full and unrestricted medical license in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia Current BLS and ACLS Current DEA certificate Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
