Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care exclusively within the hospital setting. This role focuses on the management of labor and delivery, obstetric emergencies, inpatient and emergency department gynecologic consultations, and postoperative care, ensuring safe, timely, and high quality care for hospitalized patients through a team based model.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Provide on-site physician coverage for Labor & Delivery, postpartum, and antepartum units throughout scheduled shifts. Manage labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care, including high-risk obstetric cases. Evaluate and manage inpatient and emergency department obstetric and gynecologic consults and admissions. Respond to obstetric emergencies and urgent clinical situations. Perform vaginal and operative deliveries as indicated. Perform urgent and emergent gynecologic procedures including laparoscopic surgery. Provide postoperative management for gynecologic patients. Collaborate closely with nursing staff, anesthesia, neonatology, and maternal-fetal medicine. Support and coordinate care with community OB/GYN physicians and midwives. Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant inpatient documentation and billing. Participate in quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and clinical protocols. Adhere to hospital policies, regulatory standards, and evidence-based practices. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
MD, DO Degree Completion of an ACGME-accredited OB/GYN residency program Board-certified or board-eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology Active and unrestricted state medical license DEA registration (or eligibility) Demonstrated experience in inpatient obstetrics and labor management, preferred Strong clinical judgment and procedural skills Ability to manage emergent situations Excellent communication and teamwork skills Commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based care
Base Salary Range:

Compensation Pay Range:
$189.90 - $192.31
