Go back Primary Care Careers GP The closing date is 30 September 2026 Apply for this job Job summary The Peninsula Practiceare looking for a GP who enjoys being part of a collaborative practice team and who is committed to delivering high-quality general practice. This is an exciting position offered on a fixed term contract working up to 8 sessions per week. We are very happy to be flexible in how these sessions are filled and would welcome applications from GPs looking for anything from 4 to 8 sessions per week. The post could therefore suit one GP looking for an 8-session working week, or potentially two GPs wishing to work approximately 4 sessions each. Whether you are an experienced GP, looking for a change of environment, returning to practice, or looking for a fixed-term opportunity that offers some flexibility around your existing commitments, we would be very happy to hear from you. Main duties of the job Face-to-face and telephone consultations Management of acute and chronic conditions Prescribing and medication reviews Referrals and associated clinical correspondence Home visits where appropriate Participation in the wider clinical responsibilities of the practice Working collaboratively with our nursing, dispensary, administrative and PCN teams We appreciate that GPs increasingly value flexibility and a sustainable work-life balance, so we are very happy to have a conversation about how the available sessions could work for the right candidate(s).
