Optum Washington, (formerly The Everett Clinic) is hiring for a full-time Occupational Medicine Physician . We are a clinician-led, multi-specialty group known for innovation and exceptional value-based care. Our Occupational Medicine team is a seasoned and diverse group of providers, caring for referred OptumCare Washington patients. We specialize in work-related injury/illness and environmental exposures. Our commitment to quality has distinguished us as a Center of Excellence (COHE).
Your Practice:
Focus solely on work-related injury/illness and environmental exposures Center of Occupational Heath and Education (COHE): 1 of 6 designated COHE in Washington State, known for our high-quality care and following L&I best practices
Flexible Schedules:
Create your ideal work life balance with options to practice a 4-day work week and built-in administrative time
Onboarding:
All new hires have a detailed and scaled on-boarding over 7 weeks, building up towards a full patient load gradually
Robust Support:
Administrative and clinical support dedicated to supporting your practice, including health service coordinators for managing claims
Typical Day:
See up to 15-17 patients per day, 60 minutes for new patients, 30 minutes for follow-ups
Leadership Opportunities:
Interested providers will develop into leadership roles within the department and the organization
Call:
Critical lab or physician to physician calls only after hours and weekends (no patient calls) You'll earn: $40,000 starting bonus Competitive base salary + robust incentives, productivity-based salary after first year 4 weeks+ vacation, 1 week CME with generous stipend, malpractice and insurance coverage, complete benefits package Encouraged work-life balance
Required Qualifications:
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Preventive Medicine, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R), Occupational Medicine, or a closely related specialty, or ability to obtain certification prior to employment. Unrestricted WA State Medical License or ability to obtain prior to employment CurrentWA DEA certificate or ability to obtain prior to employment Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $229,500 - $397,000. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
