Mayo Clinic Health System is a group of clinics, hospitals, and health care facilities that provide primary and specialty care close to home. Across all locations, you will find life-changing career opportunities. Mayo Clinic Health System is consistently recognized as among the best health care systems in the nation. The Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire, WI is seeking a
BC/BE OB/GYN
physician to join our practice as an OB Hospitalist/Nocturnist. We are a group of 12 OB/GYNs, 10 CNMs, 2 nurse practitioners, and 1 PA. The team includes subspeciality care in urogynecology, gynecology oncology, and complex gynecologic surgery. We are seeking an exceptional candidate to replace a retiring physician who has been with us for over 20 years. OBGYN in Eau Claire is a collegial practice, so teamwork, professionalism, and mutual respect are expected across the organization. Our model utilizes an integrated team approach, with primary delivery support being performed by the CNM team. You would provide support for both obstetrical patients and gynecologic patients needing emergency gynecologic care. Additional subspecialty services are available from Mayo Rochester in MFM, and reproductive endocrine and infertility. As part of a health care system, consultations are also readily available from other specialties such as general surgery, colorectal surgery, surgical oncology, urology, and interventional radiology. Teaching medical students, PA, NP, and CNM students as well as Family medicine and OBGYN residents is expected. A full-time OB Hospitalist/Nocturnist works 161 12-hour shifts per year. Most of the shifts would be at night. You would join other OB Hospitalist/Nocturnists currently employed within the team. The position provides flexibility for a straight night position with 7 nights on paired with at least 7 days off for a total of 23 weeks per year. We would also consider a blend. Our remaining OBGYN generalists cover daytime call and split the remaining night weeks. The night call provider is not responsible for office coverage or scheduled gyn surgery during the day. We deliver approximately 1,400 babies per year and continue to grow despite national birth trends. Eau Claire, WI is one of the fastest growing communities in the state. This is an excellent opportunity to work as an OB Hospitalist/Nocturnist while being part of a top-notch team and earning an equitable salary and excellent benefits!
