Job Description

Position Overview A respected healthcare facility in Powell is seeking an experienced Locum Tenens Ob/Gyn Physician (MD/DO) to provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care. This assignment offers competitive compensation, flexible scheduling, and the opportunity to support a busy women's health service line in a welcoming community. Key Responsibilities Deliver full‑scope Ob/Gyn care including prenatal visits, labor & delivery coverage, postpartum care, and routine gynecologic services. Manage both low‑risk and high‑risk pregnancies. Perform gynecologic procedures and surgeries as required by the facility. Conduct patient evaluations, develop treatment plans, and ensure continuity of care. Collaborate with CNMs, nurses, and other members of the women's health team. Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital protocols and regulatory standards. Provide patient‑centered care with strong communication and clinical judgment. Assignment Details Clinic & call coverage
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8-hour clinic shifts
Call:
24-hour shifts
Daily Volume:
6-8 patients 
Support Staff:
2 CNMs, 1 FM with OB experience Must be board-certified Paid travel & expenses Qualifications MD or DO with board certification or board eligibility in Obstetrics & Gynecology Active state medical license (or ability to obtain) Current DEA registration Strong surgical, obstetric, and clinical decision‑making skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment Excellent communication and patient‑care skills
