Job Description

Podiatrist - Contract Position (East & West Valley) Summit Healthcare Services is a well-established healthcare agency providing innovative care with our one-of-a-kind progressive continuum of care. Summit offers services for clients in any stage of aging, from Living Well, Home Care and Therapy to Skilled Home Health, Palliative and Hospice. Our continuum continues to expand throughout the East and West Valley, providing comprehensive healthcare services to senior living communities and patients across the Phoenix metropolitan area. Summit is looking for a Podiatrist to join our team in providing in-clinic and facility-based services to patients residing in senior living facilities throughout the East and West Valley. This would be a contracted position utilizing a podiatrist to see patients within senior living communities and surrounding areas, with scheduling flexibility based on patient needs and caseload growth. This is an ideal opportunity for a new or seasoned Podiatrist looking to establish more independence, schedule flexibility, and a better work/life balance. Responsibilities Provide high-quality patient care in a house call setting (Assisted Living, Group Homes, and patients' private homes) Evaluate patients and provide appropriate medical treatment for various illnesses and injuries Document all patient evaluations, treatments, medications, and transactions per company policies and procedures Perform initial patient screenings and patient history and physical examinations Update patient records and check records for accuracy at each patient appointment Analyze test data and determine the need for follow-up appointments and further treatment options Serve as the resource patients need for ongoing care information, counseling, and provide guidance for any patients with critical conditions Prescribe, administer, and dispense medication in accordance with state and federal statutes Identify and proactively solve problems Follow and adhere to all company policies and procedures, as well as HIPAA regulations If you want to join in on expanding growth while providing excellent podiatry services as a part of an exciting continuum of care, then we look forward to hearing from you!
