Immediate Opportunity for Podiatrist - Part Time (Fridays and Saturdays)
Compensation:
$90.00 to 112.00 hourly.

Parktree Community Health Center provides comprehensive and integrative medical, dental, podiatric, and behavioral health services to the local community in the Pomona and Ontario areas. We are looking for an energetic, professional Podiatrist to join our team on a Part Time basis.
Job Summary:
The Podiatrist is a member of the clinical care team providing specialty care services as needed to the patients served by PCHC. The specialty services are limited to the prevention, evaluation and management of acute and chronic foot and ankle conditions as approved by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) in our scope of project.
Essential Duties:
1. Provides comprehensive, high quality and cost-effective podiatric care services to a diverse population in a patient and family centered environment. 2. Prepares for medical visit by reviewing history of illness, review of systems, diagnostic test results and any referral notes from the primary care provider. 3. Conducts a thorough assessment of the patient complaint by gathering information from the patient and/or guardian. 4. Provide diagnosis and treatment of neurological and vascular disease, ulcers, infections (soft tissue and osseous) and osseous complications. 5. Provide in‐office procedures (debridement, ingrown toenails, skin biopsy, lesion excision, injections) 6. Provide preventative, acute and chronic foot wound care 7. Triaging podiatric conditions that require higher level care (not excluding emergency room and/or hospital care) 8. Provide care to patients with diabetes, chronic disease and to those experiencing homelessness. 9. Provide preventative care and offer services to optimize improvement of mobility, independence and quality of life. 10. Offers health education in a culturally competent manner. 11. Provides necessary durable medical equipment in an effort to promote mobility. 12. Collaborates with members of the patient's primary care team. 13. Maintains the safety and security of the patient/family's Personal Health Information and is compliant with HIPAA standards. 14. Ensures all proper documentation is present in the patient's medical record and completed in a timely manner. 15. Submits billing codes that reflect diagnosis and the nature of the patient visit. 16. Participates in all safety programs. 17. Complies with all mandatory trainings.
Job Qualifications and Skills:
1. Graduate of an approved podiatric medical school with a Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree. 2. Current/active licensure from the California Podiatric Medical Board 3. Current DEA license (preferred) and CPR certification (required) as a healthcare provider 4. Proficiency with an EHR; NextGen preferred 5. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred 6. Ability to work with diverse populations and promotes cultural competency 7.
Productivity Goal:
8.5 per four hour session 8. Treat all patients and colleagues with dignity and respect. 9. Flexibility with schedule and site location (primarily 1450 East Holt Avenue Pomona, CA)
