Based in Kansas City, MO, we are expanding omnidirectionally and seeking dedicated podiatric partners to enhance the quality of life for our senior residents. Option 1: The Independent Entity Model (High Autonomy) 1. Position Overview The Contractor (an independent podiatric business entity) will provide mobile diagnostic and surgical/non-surgical podiatric services to residents at facilities managed by our company. As a subcontractor, the Contractor operates as a separate business and is responsible for all clinical outcomes, equipment, and professional overhead. 2.
Scope of Services Clinical Care:
Contractor provides comprehensive lower extremity examinations, wound care, nail debridement, and necessary palliative or surgical interventions.
Regulatory Compliance:
Contractor ensures all patients are offered routine foot care every sixty (60) to ninety (90) days to satisfy state nursing home mandates and medical necessity.
Documentation:
Contractor is responsible for accurate clinical charting and providing the necessary ICD-10 and CPT codes for insurance billing to our Company. 3.
Operational Autonomy Methods:
Contractor has absolute clinical autonomy. The Company does not supervise, direct, or control the clinical techniques or treatment plans developed by the Contractor.
Scheduling:
Contractor coordinates directly with the nursing facilities to establish their own visiting hours and service dates.
Tools/Equipment:
Contractor must provide all necessary mobile podiatry equipment (portable drills, sterilized instruments, debridement kits, etc.) and maintain said equipment at their own expense. 4.
Compensation Commission Rate:
Contractor shall be paid [Percentage] % of Net Collections (actual funds received from insurance/private pay) for services rendered.
Payment Cycle:
Payments remitted within [30] days of the close of each month, following receipt of funds from third-party payers.
Expenses:
Contractor is responsible for all self-employment taxes, professional liability insurance, state licensing fees, and travel costs. Credentialing and Billing will be through our company. Supplies limited : Medical Consumables (sterile bandages, topical medications, or disposable debridement kits)
Travel and Mobile Fees :
If the podiatrist is traveling between multiple facilities for you, you can pay a flat travel fee or reimburse mileage/transportation costs. 5.
Qualifications & Requirements Entity Status:
Must operate as a registered business entity (LLC, PLLC, or P.C.) with an active EIN. Unless decide to be a W2 Employee.
Licensure:
Active MO Podiatric Medicine License and DEA registration.
Insurance:
Must maintain Malpractice Insurance ($1M/$3M) and provide a COI naming our Company as an additional insured. Option 2:
The Supported Professional Model Compensation & Benefits Productivity-Based Pay:
Competitive percentage of collections based on an insurance/fee-for-service model.
Zero Overhead:
All clinical supplies, portable podiatry drills, and mobile technology are fully paid for and provided by the group.
Lab & Orthotics:
Labs and custom orthotic orders are fully supported and coordinated through the resident's PCP/Insurance.
Operational Support:
We handle all facility scheduling, patient billing, and insurance credentialing.
Support Staff:
We provide a medical assistant/scribe if needed to assist with resident positioning and charting, allowing you to focus entirely on the patient.
Travel Stipend:
Professional travel reimbursement/stipend will be discussed in detail during the interview.
Key Responsibilities On-Site Clinical Rounds:
Perform comprehensive diabetic foot exams, wound care management, and routine palliative care (nail/callus debridement).
Patient Advocacy:
Develop personalized treatment plans for seniors, collaborating with families and facility nursing staff via the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT).
Multispecialty Collaboration:
Work alongside our on-site medical and psych teams to ensure a holistic approach to geriatric health and fall prevention.
Digital Documentation:
Maintain accurate electronic records of all treatments and screenings within our mobile EHR platform.
Qualifications DPM:
Degree from an accredited school of podiatric medicine and an active license in Missouri. (Licensure in Arkansas and/or Kansas is a plus; we will reimburse for additional licenses if travel is required).
Geriatric Interest:
A genuine passion for working with seniors and patients with complex medical histories (Diabetes, PVD, Dementia).
Adaptability:
Comfortable using portable equipment and working in varied long-term care environments.
Pay:
$150,000.00 - $300,000.00 per year
