Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity working as a School Psychologist or Psychometrist supporting K-12 students in a collaborative educational environment. This role requires onsite support at area schools and offers a chance to make a meaningful difference in students' lives. Interviewing onsite-only candidates on 4/27/2026; local applicants are strongly encouraged. You will deliver hands-on psychological services for one or more school locations. One position is stationed at Forest Hill Elementary, while the other encompasses Beacon of Hope Christian School and nearby sites, with the finalized list of schools to be provided. The private school role is itinerant, traveling between campuses as needed.
Qualifications:
Valid and active Alabama school psychology license is mandatory. Evidence of required licensure must be presented prior to starting. Experience working in schools with K-12 populations. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to adapt quickly and thrive in dynamic, multi-school settings. Flexibility for itinerant assignments (private school role).
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and provide psychological services for students in general and special education. Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to develop strategies that promote student well-being and learning. Participate in evaluation and eligibility meetings; support students with behavioral, academic, or emotional needs. Maintain accurate and confidential documentation for assigned caseloads.
Role Details:
Contract position from 3/23/2025 to 5/29/2026, with strong potential for extension through ESY and NSY pending successful performance. Full-time at 37.5 hours per week.
