Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a difference this school year working directly with students as a School Psychologist or School Psychometrist in a dynamic educational environment. This on-site, contract-based opportunity provides essential assessment and support services to K-12 students. The assignment runs from October 1, 2026, through May 26, 2027, with full-time hours and potential for extension based on performance and district needs. Specific school sites within the area will be determined as the start date approaches, and occasional travel between locations may be needed depending on assessment demands.

Qualifications & Experience Sought:

Active Alabama School Psychologist license, or Alabama School Psychometrist educator certification (must provide images of credentials) Experience working with K-12 students in a school setting is preferred Deep understanding of assessment protocols, testing, and psychoeducational evaluation Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with staff, students, and families Ability to manage itinerant duties if multiple schools are assigned

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive evaluations, assessments, and eligibility determinations across grade levels as assigned Collaborate with educators, counselors, and families to support student learning and well-being Interpret test results and create actionable, comprehensive reports Provide recommendations for instructional support and behavioral interventions Maintain compliance with timelines and state/district guidelines for special education evaluations Applications are invited now, with interviews beginning August 26, 2026 (please note: interviews will pause from August 31 through September 4, then resume afterward).
