Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into an impactful role supporting students in the K-12 setting, providing essential psychological services to foster educational growth and emotional well-being. We are actively seeking dedicated school psychology professionals for contract opportunities for the 2025-2026 school year, with positions based fully on-site. Interviewing local candidates in person on 4/27/2026! As a school psychologist or psychometrist, you will be working in either a static location or itinerantly across campuses. Assignments include one position at Forest Hill Elementary and another covering Beacon of Hope Christian School and nearby schools, with finalized itineraries expected soon. Your expertise will help students maximize their potential during the core and extended school years, with an excellent chance to renew into subsequent terms pending strong performance.
Qualifications:
Active Alabama school psychology license required; must provide credential images during onboarding Previous experience in K-12 schools strongly preferred Comfortable working with diverse student populations, from elementary to high school Reliable transportation for potential itinerant assignments Willingness to participate in a prescreen interview to confirm fit Commitment to full-time, on-site work (37.5 hours/week)
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and provide direct psychological services to students Collaborate with teachers, families, and school teams to design and monitor interventions Maintain accurate records and support compliance with educational and regulatory guidelines Travel between schools as necessary for student support Participate in ongoing professional development throughout the assignment In return, you will have the opportunity to work within supportive school environments and make a lasting difference for students throughout the academic year.
