Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding full-time opportunity as a School Psychologist at a high school near San Tan Valley, AZ. This contract role offers a dynamic environment where you'll make a direct and positive impact on students' academic, emotional, and social development. Working on-site, you'll closely collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to foster a supportive and inclusive school atmosphere.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
Valid School Psychologist certification for Arizona, or eligibility to obtain Master's or Specialist degree in School Psychology or related field Previous experience working with high school students preferred Strong understanding of developmental, learning, and psychological assessment tools Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Commitment to providing services exclusively in-person
Key Responsibilities:
Provide psychological assessment, intervention, and counseling services for students Consult with teachers, administrators, and families regarding student needs and effective strategies Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with the team Facilitate crisis intervention when necessary Support positive, data-driven solutions for student behavioral and learning challenges Maintain accurate records and prepare required reports in a timely manner
Schedule & Workplace:
Full time schedule: 37.5 hours weekly, during the school day In-person services at a high school campus (no remote or hybrid work) Caseload to be determined, designed to ensure focus on quality care and meaningful support This opportunity is ideal for dedicated school psychologists who thrive in face-to-face environments and are passionate about making a daily difference in students' lives.
