CoreCivic Job Summary We are seeking a licensed Psychologist to provide psychological assessment, counseling, treatment planning, and mental health services to individuals in a correctional setting. The Psychologist will work as part of a multidisciplinary mental health team to assess patient needs, develop treatment plans, provide counseling, and support appropriate mental health care. Responsibilities Conduct psychological screenings and assessments through record reviews and clinical interviews. Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and level of functioning. Provide psychological counseling, mental health assessments, and crisis intervention. Conduct regular rounds in segregation and other confined housing areas to assess adjustment and mental health needs. Monitor patient progress and ensure appropriate follow-through with treatment plans. Work closely with psychiatrists, physicians, nurses, social workers, mental health providers, and other clinical staff. Consult with medical, nursing, educational, chaplain, and security staff regarding changes in mental health or escalating behaviors. Apply appropriate psychological counseling theories and treatment techniques. Participate as a member of the multidisciplinary mental health team to ensure coordinated patient care. Required Qualifications Doctoral degree in Psychology from an accredited college or university. Current, unrestricted California Psychology license . Minimum 2 years of clinical experience , including at least 1 year in a comparable position . Must be at least 21 years of age . Valid driver's license required. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a correctional facility, detention center, or similar setting . Experience working with individuals with complex mental health and behavioral needs.
Compensation & Benefits Salary:
