Degree:
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
Experience:
At least 24 months of independently licensed, peer-reviewed psychotherapeutic assessment and treatment experience within the last 36 months. Must have experience with brief interventions. Proficiency in computer operations, including electronic health records and relevant office software. Preferred, but not required: Certification in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and specific training in CPT, PE, CBT-I, and DBT desired .
Licensure:
Possess a current, full, active, and unrestricted license as a Psychologist in a U.S. state, territory, or commonwealth. The license must be in good standing, with no pending or adverse actions in the last 10 years and must meet the specific requirements for an unrestricted license
IAW DHA PM 6025.13.
Maintains all continuing education and training requirements necessary to keep licensure and certifications current at no additional cost to the government. The following duties/expectations may extend beyond the core duties listed in Exhibit 5: Ensure compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the MTF.
Primary Clinical Duties:
Perform comprehensive psychological and psychosocial evidence-based screening and assessment of mental, behavioral, emotional and addictive concerns using skilled interviews, collection of collateral information, and standardized psychological testing to formulate accurate diagnoses. Develop and implement collaborative treatment plans to include short- and long-term goals. Deliver a full range of evidence-based psychotherapies to include group-based modalities and brief, solution-focused interventions. Conduct specialized, service-specific military evaluations (e.g., Commander Directed, Security Clearance, Flying Waivers) utilizing expertise to communicate the impact of psychosocial factors on fitness for duty
Documentation & Administration:
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation for all clinical encounters, patient communications, and care coordination activities within the electronic health record, in accordance with all applicable professional body, DoD/W, DHA, and MTF policies, standards, and guidance.
Clinical Guidance & Collaboration:
Provide expert consultation and mentorship to the interdisciplinary mental health team— including licensed and unlicensed clinicians, technicians, and professional trainees Serve as the subject matter expert on psychological assessment and evidence-based therapy. Lead interdisciplinary case consultations and training to enhance the team's clinical skill. Regularly consult with Primary Care Providers (PCPs), military command teams, legal authorities, and other relevant stakeholders on behavioral health and patient welfare. Coordinate and participate in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings (TTMs) to ensure transparent communication regarding updates to personal and operational safety, barriers to progression, and prognosis in accordance with governing regulations and policies.
Compliance & Professional Standards:
Adhere to all standards of care and practice as defined by the American Psychological Association (APA) and relevant DoD/W, DHA, and service-specific guidance. Recognize and respond to acute patient safety risks, including intoxication, withdrawal, suicidality and potential for harm, in accordance with established policies and protocols. Demonstrate sensitivity to differences among patients and staff and recognize its impact on health values and beliefs. Maintain productivity and quality consistent with established ethical standards and facility policies, ensuring compliance with programs such as EEO and Infection Control.
Professional Development:
Complete and maintain all required state/federal licensures, certifications, and mandatory MTF-specific training. Engage in self-evaluation, and peer review, May conduct or participate in process improvements to support enhancement of clinical practices and patient outcomes, as authorized.
Pay:
$80.00 - $90.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
