Post-Doctoral Psychology Fellow (Part-time) United States | req2572 Posted on: 5/7/2026 Back to Search Post-Doctoral Psychology Fellow (Part-time) The Post-Doctoral Psychology Fellow (Post-Doc) is responsible for delivering psychotherapy and other clinical services to the Biola University campus community and for clinical supervision of BCC doctoral psychology practicum students. Department Biola Counseling Center, Rosemead School of Psychology Supervisor The Post-Doc Fellow receives clinical supervision from a licensed psychologist and reports to the BCC Director. Educational Requirements PsyD or PhD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology and completion of an APA-accredited internship is required. Work Requirements
  • This is a part-time position with potential for earning commission on client hours once contracted hours are met.
  • Experience providing treatment to adult outpatient psychotherapy clients is required.
Expertise in interventions relevant to the needs of a university campus clientele and supervisory experience will also be valuable. Essential Duties
Clinical Activities:
  • Provide new client consultations; treatment planning, case management and consultation; individual and/or group psychotherapy with diverse clients (university students and community members); medication referrals; and crisis intervention and support.
  • Provide primary clinical supervision for first and/or advanced practicum students, including all clinical activities and services they perform, utilizing audio and video review.
  • Review, edit and approve all clinical and crisis documentation for primary supervisees (intakes, treatment plans, case notes, consultations, clinical letters, terminations, etc.).
  • In collaboration with BCC Staff Psychologists, develop and deliver clinical training didactics, and supervision experiences that enhance practicum student clinical skills and professional development.
  • Evaluate the clinical and professional functioning of BCC practicum students up to four times per year (mid-semester Fall, mid-year, mid-semester Spring, final) depending on students' training level. Participate in Rosemead 2nd year Evals for first practicum students.
  • Provide occasional requested outreach consultation and educational programming for Biola University students, faculty and staff on topics which promote the overall health and wellness of the campus community.
  • Oversee trainee participation in student care consultations and collaborate with Student Development staff in support of students of concern as needed and/or directed by the BCC Director.
  • Participate in all aspects of supervision, training and case disposition at the BCC as needed and/or directed by the BCC Director.
  • The Post-Doc Fellow is available to consult/supervise for crises that arise for other BCC trainees beyond their primary supervisees, when on site.
Administrative Activities:
  • Complete and submit required documentation for practicum students' academic programs.
  • Document all clinical training seminars, workshops and supervision experiences developed and delivered to practicum students.
  • Assist practicum students with practicum/internship applications, recommendations and future career planning.
  • Document all on-call crisis contacts, outreach consultation and educational programming done for the Biola University campus community as directed by the BCC Director.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate records of all psychotherapy and crisis services provided for BCC clients, Biola students and student care consultations per center and legal and ethical guidelines.
  • Actively participate in all BCC training activities, and staff, supervisor and case disposition meetings.
Required Skills/Qualifications Personal characteristics that include spiritual maturity, responsibility, desire and capacity to work with multiple, diverse constituents of the BCC and as a willing team member are required for this position. A compatible interest in relating psychological theory, research, and practice to the Christian faith. Other Desired Duties/Skills In addition to the requisite therapeutic, supervisory and clinical training skills, public relations, time management, organizational, and written communication skills are also important for this position. $50 per hour
