Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of students by providing critical support and expertise as a school psychologist in a vibrant, collaborative educational environment. This contract opportunity offers a full-time position for the full school year, working closely with students, educators, and families to foster academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth. As an essential member of the school community, you will utilize your specialized training to assess student needs, design effective interventions, and promote positive outcomes for all learners.
Qualifications:
Active California School Psychologist license is required Previous K-12 school psychology experience preferred Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills Exceptional communication and organizational abilities Comfortable collaborating with multidisciplinary teams Candidates who are local or seeking to relocate permanently to the area will be prioritized (not open to short-term travelers)
Responsibilities:
Conduct student evaluations and comprehensive psychoeducational assessments Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) Work alongside teachers, administrators, and families to identify challenges and offer evidence-based solutions Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and support services as needed Facilitate intervention strategies focused on academic and behavioral success Serve as a resource to promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive school atmosphere Additional caseload details to be provided This is an ideal role for dedicated school psychologists passionate about making a sustained, positive impact within their local community.
