Position Overview:
Telemedicine Psychologist & Virtual Care- Specialization
- : Telemedicine Psychology with Virtual Care focus
- Coverage Duration
- : Immediate start (ASAP) for a period of 3 months, with potential for extensions in additional 3-month increments
- Practice Setting
- : Outpatient services delivered via Virtual Care
- Work Schedule
- : Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- Core Responsibilities
- : Conducting adult individual therapy sessions Performing patient intakes and follow-up consultations Proficiency in short-term therapeutic interventions (8-12 weeks) required Competence in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for Depression is mandatory Familiarity with Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) is beneficial, but training will be provided if necessary
- On-Call Responsibilities
- : No traditional on-call duties; however, practitioners must be able to provide guidance to patients reaching out after hours
- Referral Protocol
- : Patients requiring medication management will be referred to a Psychiatry physician
- Patient Volume/Agenda
- : Anticipated appointment structure—individual sessions scheduled for 1 hour each
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- : Preference for EPIC experience, though a solid proficiency in general EMR and technology integration is essential.
- Credentialing Timeline
- : Estimated to take approximately 60 days from application submission
- Certification Requirements
- : Candidates must be Board Certified and hold ACLS certification (from the American Heart Association). EMDR certification is an asset but not mandatory
- Licensure
- : An active California state license is required
