9683370-06002 Job Description Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a School Psychologist, providing essential assessment services for students in grades 712 for the 20262027 academic year. Based near Bloomfield, CT, this role ensures continuity of care and supports student success for the upcoming school years. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, with a weekly commitment of 3537.5 hours, running ASAP through June 2027. Ideal candidates are passionate about student assessment and excited to make a lasting impact in an educational environment. As the primary evaluator, you will handle full evaluation caseloads, focusing exclusively on all required re-evaluations and initial evaluationsno ongoing counseling. Youll serve as a critical resource in collaborating with educational teams and supporting students academic journeys.
Qualifications & Desired Background:
Valid School Psychologist certification or license as required by the state of Connecticut Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments in a school setting Knowledge of best practices for student evaluation in grades 712 Strong organizational and documentation abilities Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
Manage all student evaluation needs, including initial, re-evaluations, and eligibility assessments for grades 712 Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to interpret findings Provide comprehensive assessment reports for student academic and behavioral needs Support compliance with state and federal special education requirements Engage in IEP meetings as appropriate This school-based position provides consistent weekday hours and the unique experience of supporting students development through vital assessments.
