Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Embrace the opportunity to make a lasting difference in an elementary setting through a full-time, in-person school psychologist contract role, available August through the Christmas break with possible extension. This rewarding long-term substitute position calls for individuals ready to support students' well-being and academic success in a collaborative school environment.
Key Qualifications:
Active school psychologist certification in Connecticut required Previous experience in elementary school settings strongly preferred Strong knowledge of assessment, counseling, and intervention techniques Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaborative problem-solving skills Ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families Commitment to fostering inclusive and supportive learning environments Organized, detail-oriented, and flexible in managing changing priorities
Position Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and assessments Develop and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) in partnership with multidisciplinary teams Offer direct counseling services to students to address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional concerns Consult with educators, parents, and support staff to design and implement effective interventions Participate in team meetings to discuss student progress and evidence-based strategies Advocate for student needs and promote positive behavioral supports This contract role offers a competitive rate of $100+ per hour, reflecting your expertise and commitment.
