Job Description
Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful educational role supporting the well-being and success of students in the greater Storrs Mansfield and Norwich, CT areas. This full-time, contract opportunity is available for the 2026-2027 school year and is ideal for a dedicated School Psychologist seeking to make a difference within vibrant school communities. You'll work 30-35 hours per week, focusing on student evaluations and actively participating in Planning and Placement Team (PPT) meetings.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid and current Connecticut School Psychologist certification is required Experience working as a School Psychologist in K-12 settings is highly valued Strong understanding of evaluation tools, individualized education programs (IEPs), and special education processes Skilled in building relationships with students, teachers, and families Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills Collaborative approach with a passion for advocacy and student empowermentRole Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and interpret results for use in education planning Contribute as a vital member of Planning and Placement Team meetings, helping to tailor education plans Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to support students' academic, social, and emotional needs Provide crisis intervention and recommendations to support student well-being Maintain accurate records and ensure timely documentation in line with district and state policies Offer expertise and consultation to school staff regarding effective interventions and supports for student success This is a fantastic opportunity to join supportive school communities in the Norwich and Storrs Mansfield surrounding areas.
