Job Description

Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students' educational and emotional growth as a school psychologist. This full-time position is based onsite at a middle school near Meriden and New Britain, CT, with a schedule of 35 hours per week. The assignment begins as soon as possible and extends through March 30, 2027. Your expertise in evaluation administration and PPT (Planning and Placement Team) reporting will make a direct impact on student success and school compliance. You'll join a collaborative team striving to create a supportive and inclusive educational environment.
Required Qualifications:
Current, active Connecticut licensure and appropriate certification for school psychology Direct experience in a school-based setting (required) Strong knowledge in conducting assessments, evaluations, and PPT reporting Ability to connect and communicate effectively with students, staff, and families Dedication to fostering a safe and positive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
Administer psychoeducational evaluations and interpret results Participate actively in Planning and Placement Team (PPT) meetings with staff and families Collaborate with educators and other school-based professionals to develop and implement interventions Provide recommendations and support for students' educational and behavioral needs Ensure all documentation, reports, and compliance measures meet state and district standards Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and professional guidelines
