Category Schools - School Psychologist Job Type Contract Transform student experiences and make a lasting impact as a School Psychologist in a dynamic educational setting near New Haven, CT. This contract opportunity is available for the 2026/2027 school year, running from ASAP through the end of November, with a 37.5-hour work week. You'll play a pivotal role supporting both students and the PPT team, using your expertise to foster an inclusive and supportive school environment.
Key Qualifications:
Valid CT 070 School Psychologist License required Previous experience as a school psychologist or in school-based psychological services preferred Strong assessment, counseling, and reporting skills Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, family members, and multidisciplinary teams Skilled in handling evaluations, re-evaluations, and providing direct interventions to students Strong written and verbal communication abilities
Core Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, re-evaluations, and write detailed reports Deliver individual and group counseling for students as needed Collaborate closely with the PPT team to support students' academic, social, and emotional development Offer direct support and interventions to students to address diverse needs Consult with teachers, parents, and staff to develop strategies and interventions tailored to student success Help create a positive and inclusive school climate by promoting emotional wellness and resilience If you're passionate about student well-being and eager to contribute in a collaborative school setting, this position offers you the chance to put your skills to work making a real difference.
